MASARI VISITS VICTIMS OF JIBIA RAINSTORM

The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, was Monday morning in Jibia Town to commiserate with the victims of rain storm in the area.


@Katgovmedia reports that Masari sympathized with the victims and prayed for Allah's  (S. W. T.) protection against a re-occurence.


The rainstorm which occurred on Sunday claimed lives as some were feared dead even as the heavy rainfall washed away homes and properties.


The rainfall accompanied with heavy winds started at about 11pm Sunday night and went on till 3am.




Katsina Media and Publicity reports that some of the affected areas are Unguwar Kwa-kwa, Unguwar Mai Kwari, Tudun Takari both the new and old settlements as well as Dan Tudu.


Earlier, the State Emergency Management Agency was in Jibia to ascertain the level of the damage caused by the disaster and offer first-aid assistance to the victims.

Recall that Katsina Media had reported the visit by President Muhammdu Buhari to Katsina town to commiserate with the victims of the Katsina Rainstorm.
