KATSINA EMERGENCY AGENCY DISTRIBUTES RELIEF MATERIALS TO VICTIMS OF WINDSTORM





Reports from Katsina Media have it that a devastating windstorm accompanied by heavy downpour has affected some communinities in the Katsina metropolis. The affected areas include Kukar geza,Tsallori and many other neighbouring communities.

Meanwhile, the Katsina State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA,  has distributed relief materials to provide succour to the people affected by the windstorm.

Dr Aminu Waziri, the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency presented; 50 bags  each of Rice, Beans, Maize, Sorghum, Gallons of vegetable oil and mattresses to the victims.

The secretary assured the victims that the State Government would in a no-distant future provide them with roofing sheets, cements and other relevant building materials to enable them reconstruct their affected buildings. Efforts are being made to resettle the victims.


He added that, the State Government would do everything humanly possible to resettle and assist the victims, stressing what happened to you was an "Act of God  which no one can stop".
