Ex-Adamawa Governor, Murtala Nyako, loses wife, Hajiya Zainab@ 63.

Hajiya Zainab Nyako, the wife of former Adamawa State governor, Rtd. Air Vice-Marshal Murtala Nyako is dead.
Family sources say the 63-year old Zainab died at the Federal Medical Centre, Yola, on Wednesday morning, after she collapsed at about 4pm Tuesday and spent a day on admission, leaving behind her mother, husband, six children and 10 grand-children.
She had her elementary education at Jimeta Central Primary School and proceeded to Queens College, Lagos.
She attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Lagos State University in Lagos for bachelor and masters degrees respectively.
Zainab worked as classroom teacher before joining the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) where she rose the position of zonal coordinator in charge of Adamawa and Taraba States.

GOs Protest Fraudulent Election Results in Bayelsa

Posted By Tony Okechukwu Members of various non-governmental organisations and civil society groups in Bayelsa State, on Wednesday, staged a peaceful protest over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some parts of the state. Comrade Toitoi Newton of the Grassroots For Development, who led the protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Yenagoa, told journalists that the CSOs demand a cancellation of the purported results from Constituency 4 in Southern Ijaw council and Nembe-Bassambiri in Nembe council where election materials were carted away.
