BAYELSA PDP PRIMARIES: THUGS WEARING Alaibe’s t-SHIRTS BEGIN SHOOTING TO DISRUPT ELECTION

Armed thugs  imported from Delta and Rivers State, sporting the campaign vests of Chief Timi Alaibe have  confirmed security fears by shooting sporadically into the air at the venue of the PDP primaries in Yenagoa.

The shooting has resulted in heightened tension around the venue of the election where a large number of security operatives have been deployed to prevent those planning to disrupt the primaries.

Security operatives had received intelligence reports a few days ago that Alaibe who became  aggrieved for losing out of the PDP Ward Delegate Congress and the National Delegate Congress was engrossed in moves to perpetrate violence with the intent to disrupt the primaries.

A few minutes into the process of accreditation, a large number of boys wearing Alaibe’s T-Shirt besieged the venue of the primaries to engage the security operatives in a shoot out.

As of the time of filing this report, the thugs who were brought into the state from Warri and Asaba in Delta and Port Harcourt, Rivers State are still engaging security agencies in a shootout.

GOs Protest Fraudulent Election Results in Bayelsa

Posted By Tony Okechukwu Members of various non-governmental organisations and civil society groups in Bayelsa State, on Wednesday, staged a peaceful protest over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some parts of the state. Comrade Toitoi Newton of the Grassroots For Development, who led the protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Yenagoa, told journalists that the CSOs demand a cancellation of the purported results from Constituency 4 in Southern Ijaw council and Nembe-Bassambiri in Nembe council where election materials were carted away. According to Comrade Newton, elections did not hold in the seven wards of Nembe-Bassambiri due to the violence orchestrated by political thugs aided by security personnel deployed in the community.
