Gov Bala: I Have No Rift With Atiku, He Is Candidate To Beat

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has declared total support for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the February 25 poll.

The governor spoke Sunday during the distribution of empowerment tools provided by his wife, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, to over 3,000 women in the state, held at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.

Our correspondent reports that Atiku’s wife, Hajiya Titi Atiku Abubakar, attended the event.

This has cleared claims that Bala is with the aggrieved G-5 governors of the PDP, led by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Bala, who asked Mrs Atiku to inform her husband that he is solidly behind him for the sake of God, said, “Our mother, today (yesterday), I want to assure you that it is a blatant lie from people that are saying I am not with Atiku; it’s a lie.

“I had a problem with our elder brother who will, by God’s grace, become the next president of Nigeria but now it has become history, it has passed.

“If there is anybody that I have ever told,  whether in secret or in the open, that I am not with Atiku Abubakar let him come out and say it.”

In her remarks, Hajiya Titi Abubakar urged Nigerians not to doubt the capacity of her husband to reposition the country positively if elected as president.

She assured the women and youths that Nigerians would benefit in no small measure if her husband is given the mandate to run the affairs of the country as president.
