PDP Chieftain, Publisher - Arewa Reporters, Okeke, Celebrates The Elumelus Over National Honours

 Amina Yahaya Okeke , a chieftain of the PDP and Publisher of Arewa Reporters has congratulated the Chairman of Heirs Holding and Founder of Tony Elumelu Foundation, Dr. Anthony Onyemachi Elumelu CFR and his brother, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu OON the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives  over the national honours conferred on them by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Okeke in a chat with newsmen commended Mr. President and Nigerians  for deeming it worthy to confer the National Honours in the rank of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic CFR and Officer of the Order of the Niger OON respectively on these two patriotic Nigerians.


Okeke further expressed satisfaction and joy over the recognition,  describing the Chairman of UBA, Dr. Elumelu as a man with multiple competencies who has used his enormous resources to positively impact on the life of Nigerians.


In the same vein, she  described the minority leader as a competent legislator who has already written his name on the sands of time.


Okeke urged Nigerians to emulate the examplary and humble lifestyles of the Elumelus.

GOs Protest Fraudulent Election Results in Bayelsa

Posted By Tony Okechukwu Members of various non-governmental organisations and civil society groups in Bayelsa State, on Wednesday, staged a peaceful protest over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some parts of the state. Comrade Toitoi Newton of the Grassroots For Development, who led the protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Yenagoa, told journalists that the CSOs demand a cancellation of the purported results from Constituency 4 in Southern Ijaw council and Nembe-Bassambiri in Nembe council where election materials were carted away. According to Comrade Newton, elections did not hold in the seven wards of Nembe-Bassambiri due to the violence orchestrated by political thugs aided by security personnel deployed in the community.
