2023: ATIKU Youth Connect Declares Support for Atiku…Plans 10,000 Fitness Walk in Abuja.
A selected group of young Nigerians from the thirty six states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, by the name “Youth Connect” has declared their support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate in the 2023 Presidential Election, Atiku Abubabar.
The group is also mobilizing about 10,000 Nigerians across the country to drum support for the party’s Presidential Candidate in Abuja and project him to the public as the most credible candidate ahead of the general elections in 2023.
Hajiya Hassana Shuaibu Dada, the founder and coordinator of the group who made this known to newsmen in Abuja after its executive meeting, calls on party members and other well meaning Nigerians to come out and support the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar as President of Nigeria in 2023.
Hajiya Dada, a political activist from Niger State, told newsmen that Atiku Abubakar is the only most qualified candidate among the two front runners, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
According to Hajiya Dada, Atiku Abubakar as former Vice President of Nigeria, led the country to economic prosperity as head of the economic team during the two tenures of the former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo between 1999 to 2007.
She noted with concern that most of the gains made by the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and his boss under the PDP has been eroded by the current APC administration.
Hajiya Dada stressed that, Nigeria’s foreign debt was canceled during the administration of Atiku Abubakar as Vice President of Nigeria, but the APC government has plundered the country into more debt within the last seven years.
“Fellow compatriots, you will recall that it was during the administration of president Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar in 2004 that Nigeria’s $18 billion debt from the Paris and London clubs was canceled, because of the transparent and people oriented policies and programmes of that administration” Hajiya Hassan Dada said.
She also reminded Nigerians that the current revolution in the telecom industry, started during the Obasanjo/Atiku administration, saying that these are the reasons why Nigerian youths under the auspices of Youth Connect are supporting and working for the eventual emergence of the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar as the next president of Nigeria in 2023.
“The mobile telecommunications (GSM) into Nigeria, which arguably has been the greatest achievement by any Nigerian leader, all started during the administration of Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar. Today, we are all enjoying internet and calls from the comfort of our houses and offices. This was not the case before the coming into office of the PDP administration in 1999” Hajiya Dada concluded.
