Ekiti-NACCIMA Fetes Hajia Saratu Iya Aliyu

... Drums, Dancers brought out to receive NACCIMA National President. 


The National president of The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA, Hajia Saratu Iya Aliyu was welcomed to Ekiti today, Sunday, June 20, 2021 with pomp at the chamber's office within the trade fair complex, in Ado Ekiti.


The atmosphere was almost like A Celebration of a traditional ruler with a cultural troupe on ground singing and dancing in  Ekiti traditional style.



The president of Ekiti State's Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, EKI-CCIMA, Chief Adesola Ayodele, posited that it was noteworthy to receive the 20th president of NACCIMA to such glorious reception as a leader who has demonstrated exceptional qualities and rare resolve for capacity building during her tenure in office.


The outgoing naccima president was xcited about the warm reception she go which she said mirrors the family-like relationship existing with the chamber, and that must be preserved.


She was quick to note that "naccima is a big family and everywhere we go, we are loved. We are with a common goal and we always want to encourage ourselves, Whatever we do, we do for naccima we do it for ourselves."


Naccima is always here for you to guide you and find solutions to your problems, we however urge you to adhere to code of ethics and support your brother in the national level."


Speaking on the contributions of NACCIMA to national Economy, hajiya iyq-aliyu revealed that, they have been conscious Sensitization of the member to diversify their businesses, take over businesses that are not oil based and Training their members various business start-ups.


" At naccima we are really set and up to sensitize our member on how to go about diversifying their businesses.  There is a lot we are doing to create awareness for our members. We also working on investors that will come and take over other businesses that is not oil business, so that our members can benefit from all those businesses that are coming in.


"Nigeria was existing on farming, mines,band others but because of oil we have neglected them but now we have to go back to them"


On contributing to the discussion, Efon-Alaaye born 2nd deputy president of the NACCIMA, mr. Dele Oye harped on the need for government to identify with the private sector to attract more beneficial investments


"Investors look at the private sector, they want to see how they are doing before they out their money anywhere,  the government has a duty  to make the initial investment of providing adequate facilities and create enabling environment to stimulate businesses"


He also Encouraged chambers in Ekiti to register with the National body, this he says will help them get access to more loans and trainings 


While corrgetborating the afformentioned stances, Chief Adesola ayodele pointed out the successes of achieved in Ekiti despite several challenges but has had to confront.


"Ekiti state is developing in the mines, industry and agriculture, however the impediment  in Ekiti is funding, how to find our businesses. we haven't gotten enough foreign investors to come in and make sure our industries are being upgraded, however, with the little resources we have in Ekiti state, all our Members have contributed much to the progress of Ekiti state most especially in Ekiti. Most agricultural produce are grown in Ekiti"
