Banigo Felicitates With The Rivers People At Easter

 Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has reiterated that the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest thing that has happened to humanity.



The Deputy Governor stated this in a good will message from the Government House in Port Harcourt on Saturday, 3rd April, 2021 to felicitate with the Rivers People as they commemorate this year’s Easter.  


According to Dr. Banigo, the devil came to steal, to kill and to destroy mankind but Our Lord Jesus Christ, came to give us life in abundance, adding that Easter Celebration epitomizes the sacrifice Our Lord Jesus Christ made on the Cross of Calvary, to reconcile man to God, after the fall of man at the Garden of Eden.


She urged those who are yet to heed the alter call not to delay any further, because the rapture would soon take place, stressing that accepting Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Personal Saviour remains the best decision anyone could ever make in life.


Dr. Banigo wished the First Family and the good People of Rivers State a Happy Easter Celebration, while assuring them that Governor Wike would not relent in his resolve to positively transform the State.

GOs Protest Fraudulent Election Results in Bayelsa

Posted By Tony Okechukwu Members of various non-governmental organisations and civil society groups in Bayelsa State, on Wednesday, staged a peaceful protest over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some parts of the state. Comrade Toitoi Newton of the Grassroots For Development, who led the protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Yenagoa, told journalists that the CSOs demand a cancellation of the purported results from Constituency 4 in Southern Ijaw council and Nembe-Bassambiri in Nembe council where election materials were carted away.
