We Are Working to Insecurity in Taraba State - Ishaku

Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, has assured the people of the state that the problem of insecurity was being tackled with greater zeal and determination to make farming and travelling safe in all parts of the state.

Gov. Ishaku gave the assurance when a high-powered delegation of people from Gassol Local Government Area of the state paid him a thank you visit on Monday in Jalingo.

The delegation led by the Chief of Mutum-Biyu, Alhaji Sani Suleiman Duna, came to thank the governor for the provision of electricity and other amenities to parts of the Local Government Area as well as the appointment of sons and daughters of the area into key government positions.

The Deputy Governor, Engr. Haruna Manu, is one of such appointees.

Ishaku urged traditional rulers in the state to assist government in tackling the insecurity problem.

He advised them to be conscious about happenings within their domains and to report suspicious visitors to security agencies before such visitors cause harm in their communities.

Gov. Ishaku expressed happiness that the people remembered to come and express appreciation, noting that not many people remember to show appreciation for the good done to them.

He urged the people to take control of amenities provided them  by government and protect them against vandalisation and mismanagement.

Earlier the Chief of Mutum-Biyu, Alhaji Sani Suleiman Duna, pledged the support of his people for government projects and programmes so they can profit from the success of such policies.

He requested government to help tackle insecurity in the state which has crippled farming and made travelling a big risk.
