Wedding Fatiha: Gov Inuwa Yahaya, Others Graces Occasion

 Earlier today, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya was in Jos, Plateau state where he attended the wedding fatiha of Saleh Ibrahim Saleh, son of his bosom friend and business mogul, Alhaji Ibrahim Saleh Hassan.

The wedding fatiha took place at the Late Saleh Hassan Mosque, unguwar Gangare, Jos and was presided over by Sheikh Nasir Abdulmuhyi.

Governor Yahaya stood in as Wakil (representative) for the groom (Saleh) and received the bride ( Fadimatu) on his behalf through her Waliy, Alhaji Musa Mohammed after announcement of 100, 000 Naira as dowry and satisfying all other requirements in line with Islamic injunctions.

Dignitaries, including the Secretary to the Government of Plateau state, Prof. Danladi Atu,who represented Governor Simon Lalong, Commissioners from both Plateau and Gombe states, business associates among other well wishers from far and near attended the wedding fatiha. Special prayers were offered for the couple for a happy and successful married life.

GOs Protest Fraudulent Election Results in Bayelsa

Posted By Tony Okechukwu Members of various non-governmental organisations and civil society groups in Bayelsa State, on Wednesday, staged a peaceful protest over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some parts of the state. Comrade Toitoi Newton of the Grassroots For Development, who led the protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Yenagoa, told journalists that the CSOs demand a cancellation of the purported results from Constituency 4 in Southern Ijaw council and Nembe-Bassambiri in Nembe council where election materials were carted away.
