Deacon Udom Emmanuel @54: PDP Govs Send Congratulatory Message

The PDP Governors' Forum under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Governor of Sokoto State) and all the other PDP Governors, have  congratulated Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel (Governor of Akwa Ibom State) on his 54th birthday anniversary.

In a statement dated July 11, 2020, and signed on behalf of the forum by the 
Director-General, Hon. C. I. D. Maduabum, the  Forum rejoiced with Governor Emmanuel on this special event and prayed for God’s strength, God's blessings, wisdom and good health as he directs the affairs of Akwa Ibom State. 

Below is the concluding part of the statement:

"According to Abraham Lincoln, “And in the end, it is not the years in your life that count, it is the life in your years,” we accordingly applaud your superlative performance so far in office as evidenced in several industrialisation programmes, healthcare services, free qualitative education, agriculture, poverty alleviation policies, infrastructural and human capital developmental strides in every nook and cranny of Akwa Ibom State.

"We pray God to continue to guide and focus your attention on the needs, aspirations and greatness of the people you lead, to the  glory of God . You have indeed excelled in your  selfless service to your state,  fatherland and as a pioneer member of the PDP Governors family. 

"Please be assured of the solidarity and support of your colleagues of the PDP Governors' Forum, as you mark this special day.

"As we celebrate with you, we wish you an even longer life in the service of humanity.

GOs Protest Fraudulent Election Results in Bayelsa

Posted By Tony Okechukwu Members of various non-governmental organisations and civil society groups in Bayelsa State, on Wednesday, staged a peaceful protest over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some parts of the state. Comrade Toitoi Newton of the Grassroots For Development, who led the protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Yenagoa, told journalists that the CSOs demand a cancellation of the purported results from Constituency 4 in Southern Ijaw council and Nembe-Bassambiri in Nembe council where election materials were carted away.
