“I am not leaving PDP, a party I built and laboured for” – Sen. Anyanwu Thunders

-       Advises blackmailers to create a life for themselves

BY Pat PA Okon

Senator Sam Anyanwu, representative of Imo East Senatorial District in the 8th Senate of the National Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted vehemently to certain insinuations in some quarters that he was already on his way out of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to a yet–to-be-disclosed party.

In a Press Statement issued from his Media Office, Senator Anyanwu stated that he has no plans to leave the PDP and emphatically maintained that he is still a strong and vibrant member of the party.

The statement in its unedited version is published below:

SENATOR SAMDADDY HAS NO PLANS TO LEAVE PDP, REMAINS A STRONG MEMBER

The attention of the office of Distinguished Senator Samuel N. Anyanwu has been drawn to the unguided and unintelligent blackmail been bandied on the social media that Sen. Samdaddy has made plans to leave his party (PDP).

We could have chosen to ignore this pedestrian trajectory but for the sake of Sen. Anyanwu's supporters all over the State and his Divine Mandate Movement who might be swayed in thoughts by this misrepresentation of facts.

The carriers of this blackmail are only jittery over the status of Sen. Anyanwu in National and IMO politics, knowing the fact that Samdaddy has become a household name in Nigeria politics today.

For the records, Sen. Samdaddy is still a full member of the PDP and therefore has no reason to leave the party he built and laboured for over the years. People should leave blackmailing his person because Samdaddy has moved on with his life after seeking redress to the injustice and manipulation meted out on him up to the Supreme Court.

It is therefore on this premise that we expect the leadership of our great party (PDP) in IMO State to advice her members and those who want to use Samdaddy's name to gain political appointments to desist from blackmailing his person.

Signed: Distinguished Senator Samuel N. Anyanwu
