Elumelu Commends Oborevwori and Deltans for Supreme Court Triumph

Former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, extended his congratulations to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, following the Supreme Court's affirmation of his victory in the State's gubernatorial election.

In a statement issued on Friday, January 19, 2024, Elumelu lauded the Supreme Court's judgment as the ultimate triumph of the collective will of the people of Delta State, emphasizing the massive support Governor Oborevwori received in the March 2023 Governorship Election.

Expressing his appreciation for the Supreme Court, Elumelu emphasized its role as a beacon of hope for the Nigerian people and democracy. He joyfully celebrated the victory, acknowledging it as not only a triumph for Governor Oborevwori, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Delta State residents but also as a victory for democracy itself.

"I sincerely thank the Almighty for this auspicious day. This Supreme Court victory is undoubtedly a win for all of us, for democracy, and for the people of Delta State," Elumelu declared.

Acknowledging the efforts of the immediate past Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the PDP, and the people of Delta State, Elumelu highlighted the strides taken by the Oborevwori administration, positioning the state for increased productivity and development.

Calling for unity, Elumelu urged all stakeholders in the State to collaborate with Governor Oborevwori in realizing the goals of the MORE Agenda for the collective benefit of all.
