Banigo Felicitates With The Rivers People At Easter

 Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has reiterated that the death and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ has afforded mankind the opportunity to reconcile with the Almighty God.

Dr. Banigo re-echoed this in her goodwill message from the Government House in Port Harcourt on Friday, 15th April 2022 to felicitate with the Rivers People at Easter.

According to the Deputy Governor, when the Almighty God created man, he was a perfect being but he unfortunately lost his perfection because of sin, adding that God’s only begotten Son Jesus Christ had to die on the cross of Calvary to restore man back to his lost Glory.

She urged all those who have not made up their minds to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour to do so without further delay because the end time is fast approaching.

 

The Deputy Governor wished the State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and the good People of Rivers State a Happy Easter Celebration

GOs Protest Fraudulent Election Results in Bayelsa

Posted By Tony Okechukwu Members of various non-governmental organisations and civil society groups in Bayelsa State, on Wednesday, staged a peaceful protest over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some parts of the state. Comrade Toitoi Newton of the Grassroots For Development, who led the protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Yenagoa, told journalists that the CSOs demand a cancellation of the purported results from Constituency 4 in Southern Ijaw council and Nembe-Bassambiri in Nembe council where election materials were carted away. According to Comrade Newton, elections did not hold in the seven wards of Nembe-Bassambiri due to the violence orchestrated by political thugs aided by security personnel deployed in the community.
