FCT ALGON Chairman Commends Nigeria@60 Made-In-Nigeria Exhibition/Trade Fair & Lecture Initiative

.… Promises to Mobilize Abuja Area Councils to participate

Hon. Mustapha Adamu Danze  Gwagwalada Area Council and FCT’s ALGON Chairman has commended the Nigeria@60 Exhibition/Trade Fair and Lecture as a worthy and timely initiative which will provide much needed exposure for Nigeria’s LGAs.

He made the statement whilst receiving in his office consultants on the Nigeria@60 Trade Fair project led by Mr. Olu Adekunle along with Mrs. Precious Vivian and Musa Yakubu representing Red Sapphire Nigeria Ltd, official marketers and managers of the epoch making event. The team had visited the Gwagwalada Area Council Headquarters to further enlighten the Chairman on the essence of the event which according to them is to promote massive economic development and empowerment schemes at the grassroots.

According to the visibly elated Hon. Danze “This initiative is timely. I am happy with what it represents. The third tier of government is in need of as much exposure as it can get and I believe that your event will provide a potent platform for such to be achieved.  As the cultural, social and economic bedrock of the nation, the third tier deserves to feature prominently at the front burner of national discourse when it comes to development.”

Speaking further, the Chairman decried the current situation where Local Governments are unable to effectively promote their economic endowments due to the lack of effective means of doing so. “Gwagwalada Area Council for example is ear marked as the industrial zone of the FCT. Believe it or not we are equally the agricultural zone as at the present time but few know this. Coca Cola has a small factory here but it has long been abandoned and left to decay. The problem is lack of exposure. It has dealt us a big blow in that regard. Events like the Nigeria@60 project that you are planning will be good for us because we can showcase all our endowments to the right audience with the possibility of attracting investors”.

On the Trade Fair scheduled to hold from the 26th – 30th of September, 2021 at the Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Garki, Abuja the Hon. Chairman promised to mobilize his colleagues across Abuja’s five other Area Councils towards vibrant participation in all facets of the first of its kind event. Also present at the parley were Alhaji Saad Jero of the FCT Area Council Secretariat and several aides of the Chairman.
