AAASME Salutes ECOWAS@45years.

.....Congratulates Gov. Diri's 100 days in Office, Rallies Continental Support for Dr.Adesina, President Africa Development Bank (AFDB).          
                

The All Africa Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (AAASME) celebrates the Economic Community for West Africa States (ECOWAS) on its 45th Anniversary. In a statement issued from the Secretariate, the AAASME Secretary-General, Ebiekure Jasper Eradiri said Ecowas is worthy of celebration having attained alot of successes since it was established in 1975 and is poised to achieve the vision of the Founding Fathers. Mr.Eradiri stated that the Ecowas SME Strategy, abolition of Visas among Ecowas member States, Promoting Regional Integration and Fostering economic/Political Cooperation,Maintaining Peace & Stability in the region, Monetary Cooperation programs alongside several other initiatives are the hallmarks of the Regional Economic Community and Salutes the Leadership of Ecowas especially His Excellency Jean-Claude Kassi Brou, the President of the Ecowas Commission.

 In another development, the All Africa Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (AAASME) Congratulates Gov.Diri of Bayelsa State of Nigeria upon 100 days in Office. The Secretary General, Ebiekure Eradiri on behalf of the organization felicitated with the Governor and his team for laying a good foundation in the last 100 days to steer the ship of state in the right direction. It would be recalled that the economic mantra of the Diri Administration is hinged on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) giving rise to the 2020 budget captioned Consolidation for Prosperity.


 Mr. Eradiri further solicited for  Patience, Understanding, encouragement, Continued Support and prayers from All Bayelsans for the Diri Administration. Following the news of recent allegations against the President of the Africa Development Bank Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, the All Africa Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (AAASME) declares a vote of confidence on Dr. Adesina and plans to mobilize Continental support from SMEs across Africa to lend their voices and sign up to the proposed Campaign #IStandWithAdesina. It is on record that the numerous programs for SMEs in Africa initiated by the Dr. Adesina led AFDB has been unprecedented and impactful in the Continent.

GOs Protest Fraudulent Election Results in Bayelsa

Posted By Tony Okechukwu Members of various non-governmental organisations and civil society groups in Bayelsa State, on Wednesday, staged a peaceful protest over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some parts of the state. Comrade Toitoi Newton of the Grassroots For Development, who led the protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Yenagoa, told journalists that the CSOs demand a cancellation of the purported results from Constituency 4 in Southern Ijaw council and Nembe-Bassambiri in Nembe council where election materials were carted away. According to Comrade Newton, elections did not hold in the seven wards of Nembe-Bassambiri due to the violence orchestrated by political thugs aided by security personnel deployed in the community.
