Empowering Women Through Agriculture: Federal Ministry Partners with Bauchi State First Lady

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has announced its intention to partner with the office of the Bauchi State First Lady in a bid to empower women within the state.

Mrs. Winnie Solari, the Director of Animal Husbandry Services at the Federal Ministry, relayed this commitment during a courtesy visit to the First Lady at the Government House.

Mrs. Solari highlighted the Ministry's dedication to backing the First Lady’s initiatives aimed at empowering women in Bauchi State. She further brought attention to the ministry's ongoing projects in the Sullubawa community of Bauchi State, designed to bolster food security in the area.

The First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Aishatu Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, praised the Federal Government for its agricultural interventions, aimed at ensuring food security amidst escalating inflation. She called upon stakeholders at all echelons to join forces with the government to realize food security objectives.

Hajiya Aishatu Bala Muhammad additionally noted her office’s proactive engagement in training women and youth in agricultural practices and entrepreneurship, appreciating the government's initiatives and advocating for a greater emphasis on agricultural research and innovation to strengthen the sector.
