AMBASSADOR TAZOOR CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS WITH ISHEREV COMMUNITY, CALLS FOR UNITY AND REQUEST PRAYERS FOR SGF

Today, Friday 29th, December 2023, His Excellency Ambassador Terhemen Tarzoor celebrates Christmas with Isherev community, in his Makurdi residence.

Dr Terhemen Tarzoor, addressing Isherev community appreciated them for their sustained prayers and support over the years.

 Ambassador Tarzoor, charged Isherev community to remain steadfast and keep faith with the party and trust in the leadership and judgement of the leader of the party North Central, Distinguished Senator George Akume Dajoh, Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The former Nigerian High Commissioner to the Republic of Namibia encouraged Isherev people to be committed and uphold unity of purpose to foster collaboration and form strong political alliance with the leader of the party Distinguished Senator George Akume to draw more political appointments and bring development to the Isherev people.

Dr Terhemen Tarzoor, said he would not want to be caught in the web of any political fracas, saying he's a solid, rigid and astute believer in the political leadership of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, describing senator Akume as a Father who wholeheartedly embraces people of different backgrounds, advancing their interests without any iota of sentiments on tribe or ethnicity.

Dr Terhemen Tarzoor advised Benue people not to pick unnecessary leadership tussle with Akume, but rather support and rally around Distinguished Senator George Akume to attract more political appointments to deserving Benue sons and daughters

Ambassador Terhemen Tarzoor admonished the Isherev people to shun politics of acrimony, he emphasized unity of purpose as the only way to attract development.

His Excellency, Ambassador Terhemen Tarzoor, immensely appreciated Senator Titus Zam for his support to ensure the success of the interface, the Senator who would have been physically present at the event, but had to leave for Abuja yesterday to attend to matters of nation building. 


Honorable Mathias Antor, the Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor, cautioned those who peddle falsehood on the pages of social media to desist from such nefarious behavior, saying falsehood brings disaffection and bad blood amongst people.

He advised these category of persons to always present issues of the State government and the party in good light, calling on the State government and aggrieved party men and women to find a common ground to resolving whatever differences that exist, if at all there is any.


Honorable Douglas Akya, in his brief address appreciated Dr Tarzoor for his wisdom, leadership role and mentorship, promising not to disappoint leaders of the party, and asked the Isherev community to pray for the SGF, Governor and Dr Tarzoor, pleading with Dr Tarzoor to resist the urge to again pick an appointment abroad but rather consider an appointment back home, and provide them with the necessary leadership guide they need to navigate the political space as emerging political leaders.

Preempting Akya, Honorable Berger Alfred Emberga, re-echoed the need for continued and sustained unity amongst Isherev political leaders as it is the only way to bringing dividends to the people.

Honorable Berger applauded Dr Terhemen Tarzoor for always deeming it essential to interface with his people whenever he touches down Makurdi, a trait he Berger prays to imbibe.

Hon. Berger asked the Isherev people to always pray for political leaders so that God Almighty would protect and direct them to do things to change the fortunes of the people.

In separate but similar remarks, elders drawn from Mbagwen, Nyiev and Mbawa, praised Dr Terhemen Tarzoor for his continued show of concern for their well-being and advised him to continue in that spirit of remembrance, while requesting for more political appointments be given to Isherev people, through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the Benue State Governor.

Women and youth took their turn, while the women prayed for Dr Terhemen Tarzoor to be considered for an appointment as to enable him bring good things to them, his mothers, the youths tabled a request for jobs, awaiting the imminent position Dr Terhemen Tarzoor will occupy, as they pray it happens in no distant time.

In his closing remark, the Ambassador prayed and beseech God to continually preserve the life of Distinguished Senator George Akume, endow him with the wisdom of King Solomon, to effectively discharge his official duty as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.

Dr Terhemen presented bags of rice, three cow, one each for the three communities that constitute Isherev, and huge injarmato.
