Banigo Hails OCJ Okocha on his Birthday

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has joined other people of goodwill to felicitate with Chief Onueze Chukwujinka Joe Okocha as he celebrates his Birthday.

In a statement from the Government House, in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, 29th June 2022, Dr. Banigo described Chief Onueze Chukwujinka Joe Okocha as a great legal luminary who has continued to add value tothe advancement of the legal profession in Nigeria over the years.

According to the Deputy Governor, the contribution of OCJ to the socio-economic and political development of Rivers State is beyond measures, adding that Rivers State is blessed to have a worthy son like him.

While wishing him many happy returns Dr. Banigo prayed the Almighty God to Continue to bless and keep Chief Onueze Chukwujinka Joe Okocha   in good health.

GOs Protest Fraudulent Election Results in Bayelsa

Posted By Tony Okechukwu Members of various non-governmental organisations and civil society groups in Bayelsa State, on Wednesday, staged a peaceful protest over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some parts of the state. Comrade Toitoi Newton of the Grassroots For Development, who led the protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Yenagoa, told journalists that the CSOs demand a cancellation of the purported results from Constituency 4 in Southern Ijaw council and Nembe-Bassambiri in Nembe council where election materials were carted away. According to Comrade Newton, elections did not hold in the seven wards of Nembe-Bassambiri due to the violence orchestrated by political thugs aided by security personnel deployed in the community.
