Asanakpo Pleads With Dickson To Contest Bayelsa West Senatorial Seat

A coalition of youth groups in Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government Areas have admonished former Governor, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson to contest the Bayelsa West Senatorial seat.
In a rally held recently in Sagbama town, the youth leaders and the good people of West Senatorial district rose in one voice to call on Chief Seriake Dickson to contest for the seat made vacant by the elevation of Senator Lawrence Ewrudjakpo, now Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State.

One of the ardent advocates of former Governor for Senate Campaign, Hon. Lucky Oyinkuro Asanakpo, a brilliant, ever proactive Chairman of Volunteers and former Special Adviser on Youth Matters, has lent his voice to the clarion call for Gov. Dickson to pick the ticket for the Senate Seat.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Sagbama rally, the Chairman said, Seriake Dickson nicknamed the WHITE SHARK is the most qualified to occupy that seat for now given his past experiences as a former lawmaker and Governor of the State.

He is endowed with a wealth of experience which the former Governor will bring to bear on his responsibilities as a Senator, Asanakpo reiterated. Bayelsa needs a strong willed patriot who is vibrant, articulate and resourceful to represent our people in the Senate.

We urge him not to take a break after the marathon political race of being on the saddle for eight years but forge ahead and Obey the voice of the people, the Chairman noted.

At this point in the political history of this nation, we need a visionary leader who will champion the course of the Ijaw nation at the Federal level, he observed.

He has equally called on all other interested and qualified aspirants to forfeit their interests by supporting Hon. Seriake Dickson to contest the forthcoming election.
Gov. Dickson, he said, should listen to the voice of the people of West Senatorial district adding that the people are ready to vote for him massively.

We his supporters are ready to purchase the forms for him and we are ready to ensure he gets the ticket by the grace of God, he stated.
