The Katsina State Government under the Ministry of Women Affairs in collaboration with Suleiman Hearing and Educational Foundation had rendered free ear and hearing care services to over 420 women and children across Katsina State.

Katsina Media and Publicity reports that this is contained in an information made available by the Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Badiya Hassan Mashi in an exclusive media chat with @Katgovmedia earlier today.

Badiya disclosed that the Ministry under the leadership of Katsina State Governor, Rt.  Aminu Bello is doing everything possible to ease the suffering of the common man.

She explained that the project had trained 2 health workers from each of the 3 Senatorial Zones on ear and hearing care services as well as equipped them with required facilities for their job, also over 300 women and children benefited from minor ear procedures and free drugs as intervention to restore their hearing, 20 patients had major hearing restoration surgeries whereas over 25 benefited from hearing aids.

The collaborating consultant, Dr. Suleiman Abdulmajid commended the Commissioner for this job, saying governments all over the country neglect problems relating to hearing/ear, adding that this project done by the state government is now undergoing a federal government consideration.

Recall that the Masari led Administration is committed to projects and program that have direct impact to the remotest people of Katsina State.
