 Applauds Unprecedented Improvement of NPF in Human Rights, Discipline, Welfare, Infrastructural Transformation The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR, was on Thursday 30th March, 2023 at the IGP Conference Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja, honoured by the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations for Good Governance with the well-deserved award of Grand Defender of Democracy in recognition of his giant strides since assuming leadership of the Nigeria Police Force. The Coalition which comprises leaders of 37 Pro-Democracy and Civil Society Organizations, conferred the honour on the IGP during a solidarity visit to the Louis Edet House.   Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Ndudi Elumelu yesterday today joined Nigerians to perform his civic duty in the ongoing Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections. Elumelu voted in his unit 3 polling unit located inside Kandima Primary school Onicha-Uku in Aniocha North Local Government area of Delta State after passing through the accreditation process. At the Kandima Primary school Onicha–Uku voting centre with three polling units, voting commenced promptly with the early arrival of officials and materials for the polls. Also the environment was peaceful with the presence of the police and other security agencies. It was however observed that voters’ turnout in the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly election was higher compared to the Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections in some parts of the area.
