 The Rivers State Government says it has benefitted immensely from the Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally over the years. The State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike made this assertion at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, in Port Harcourt on Sunday, 30th January 2022 during the Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally, organized by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Rivers Family. The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo says investing in our adolescent girls remains an utmost priority to her. Dr. Banigo made this assertion during a Three-Day Peer Education Training on Sexual Violence Concerns organized, by the Protect the Girl Child Initiative in the Office of the Deputy Governor, on Tuesday, 25th January 2022, at the Government House in Port Harcourt. Dr. Banigo said the Peer Education Training, and the setting up of the Protect the Girl Child initiative Clubs in Secondary Schools was necessitated by the fact that issues of sexual violence had become a real hot topic not only in Nigeria, but everywhere, stressing that people that are most hit are adolescent girls. “We felt there was a need for us to do a structured programme, where we can actually mentor them and create awareness, where they can talk about it amongst themselves, and the best way to do it is to set up Peer Clubs at the Secondary School level. Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo says the Sub National Ease of Doing Business Baseline Survey indicates that Rivers State is doing great in the Ease of Doing Business in the Country. Dr. Banigo stated this at the Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa, on Thursday, 20th January 2022 shortly after her arrival from Abuja, where she represented the State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike at the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and the National Economic Council Meeting. Rivers State Deputy Governor, (Dr) Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo has reiterated that vaccines are about the greatest advances in global healthcare and development. Dr. Banigo reiterated this while speaking at the 2022 First Quarterly Meeting of the Rivers State Task Force on Immunization and Primary Healthcare at the Government House, in Port Harcourt on Monday, 17th January 2022.
